H0HA
We help founders bring digital products to market.
We help founders focus on what's important and make better decisions to get their products to market.
Why founders get stuck
Great ideas create possibilities. They can also create noise.
Founders rarely lack ideas—the challenge is knowing which one matters now. H0HA breaks the path to market into smaller, testable steps so you can focus your attention, make the next important decision, and keep moving forward.
Who is my ideal customer segment?
Which product direction is strongest?
What should I build first?
Will customers understand and value it?
How do I create this product?
How do I communicate what I've built?
How will it reach customers and grow?
Our Framework
Our idea-to-product framework saves founders money by investing it wisely.
Many founders reverse this order: they build first, then look for demand. We identify the value worth creating, prove the solution with customers, and only then invest in building the product. This way, you prove customers will buy, before investing in building.
Find the Opportunity
Identify the market, customer, problem, and value worth pursuing. Doing this first narrows your focus and keeps you from paying to develop things customers do not need.
Prove the Value
Test which ideas and features solve the customer's problem, what customers value enough to pay for, and what should be left out. Decide what to build—and what not to build—before committing to development.
Build & Commercialize
Build only what is necessary to deliver the core value, reach paying customers sooner, and use real-world feedback to decide what to improve or build next.
Ways to work with H0HA
Services for every phase.
Start where you are. Each service can be delivered independently, combined into a phase-specific package, or used across the complete idea-to-product framework.
Phase 01
Find the Opportunity
Decide which market, customer, and problem are worth pursuing.
Market Research & Sizing
Identify the markets your idea can serve, compare their potential, and estimate the opportunity.
Problem Exploration
Find the problems different customer segments will pay to solve and where your product can create the most value.
Positioning & Messaging
Turn the research into a clear value proposition and language that resonates with the market.
Phase 02
Prove the Value
Test demand and determine what should—and should not—be built.
Prototype Building
Build a fast, testable prototype that makes the product and its value tangible before full development.
User & Customer Research
Test demand, learn what customers value, and identify what should change before you invest further.
Roadmapping & Requirements
Create a focused, prioritized roadmap and requirements a development team can execute.
Phase 03
Build & Commercialize
Create the product and a clear path to paying customers.
Software Design & Development
Design and build scalable software, including HIPAA-compliant platforms and AI-powered products.

Marketing Campaigns
Create traction through email, social, content, and paid acquisition campaigns.
Who we help
From founders who are just getting off the ground to established companies exploring what's next.
H0HA brings experience and focus to product decisions so clients can direct their time and budget toward the work most likely to create value.
Founders with a new product
You need a focused path to market and help reaching your first paying customers.
Organizations with a product idea
You see an opportunity but need the strategy, validation, and execution to make it real.
Product teams with too many ideas
You need to decide what matters now, align the team, and focus the budget on the highest-value work.
What H0HA means
Every decision is a hypothesis to be tested.
In statistics and scientific research, H₀ represents the “null hypothesis,” or your starting assumption. Hₐ is your “alternative hypothesis,” or what you are trying to prove through your study.
Researchers collect data and gather evidence to determine how confident they should be in the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) and whether to reject the null hypothesis (H₀).
Bringing products to market is about forming hypotheses about the next decision and gathering enough evidence to act with confidence.
H0HA uses this principle to help you make confident, cost-effective decisions at the right time.
About Us
Meet Our Founder.
Mark Ruf has over a decade of experience building, launching, and commercializing new software products.
His work focuses primarily on health and human services and AI, across both government and private-sector settings. Across industries, he has helped teams align, focus, and execute to bring new ideas to market. He also helped launch, scale, and successfully exit a startup serving the developmental disabilities space.
He approaches complex problems by starting with the customer’s return on investment, then shaping technology around real workflows to deliver the outcomes people need.
Mark enjoys working strategically and staying hands-on throughout execution. Colleagues describe him as finding the right balance between business, customer, and technology because he understands how all three fit together.
At the end of the day, he enjoys building cool things—and wants to help you build something cool too.
